Descriptive Text


ツ Descriptive text is to describe a particular person, place or thing. It focuses on specific participants. The description includes parts, qualities and characteristics.


ツ Structure of the text

a. Identification => Introduces person, thing, or place that will be describe/ identification of the
things.
b. Description => Describe of things, person, or place.


Mostly, description uses the simple present tense but sometimes it uses the simple past tense when the person, thing, or place that is talked about no longer exist.
